The Ashleys opened their dental office in 2021 and had a dream to create something better within the dental community. Blake hates being in the dental chair himself and as a person with dental anxiety Dr. Cara designed the office to have a calming spa-like environment where patients relax in a dental massage chair, are given a warm lavender towel, a blanket or neck pillow if requested, and can watch Netflix with noise canceling headphones while having a cleaning or treatment. The staff is educated on how to help those with dental anxiety or dental aversion.

The goal of the practice is to provide exceptional care to all within the community. This is done by eliminating multiple visits for traditional procedures that have been improved by the advancement in dental technology. For example, the office can manufacture teeth in-house in under two hours and help patients with single-visit crowns. The office also has the basics covered:

• Cleanings, x-rays, and exams
• Emergency visits
• Crowns (sometimes called “caps”)
• Tooth restorations
• Root canals
• Extractions
• Implants
• Veneers
• Custom oral appliances like night guards
• Invisalign
• Teeth whitening
• IV Sedation (with anesthesiologist)

As a special thank you to the Dawg Nation community, Blake and Cara want to give back. The office has a state of the art scanner where a perfect 3D rendering of your mouth can be digitized in under 5 minutes. No more gagging on goo or gel, just a simple digital scan. This scan is then used to 3D print a perfect model of your teeth and a custom mouthguard is made from these models. The normal cost of this mouthguard is $279, but not for Dawg Nation!

Canyon View is covering part of the cost as a “Give Back” to the Dawg Nation community.

Canyon View is an “in-network” provider with all PPO dental plans. Basic new patient appointments are usually covered depending on the dental plan.

No dental insurance, no problem – there is also an in-office discount program available.

The goal with this Dawg Nation “Give Back” is to provide exceptional dental care to our hockey community while also helping reduce future dental trauma or brain injuries associated a dental bruxism.

Two examples of tooth damage that a mouthguard could have prevented

Tooth-to-tooth (upper and lower) hard impact
resulted in a broken front tooth.
Emergency visit – Fixed same day by Dr. Ashley

Blunt force trauma to front tooth resulting in the tooth dying.
Usually preventable with a mouthguard.

In addition to the discounted custom mouthguard, Canyon View Dentistry will donate a portion of your visit back to the Dawg Nation Foundation.
