Invisible Braces

Everyone at Canyon View Dental can appreciate the importance of a beautiful smile in our modern world. With nearly every person carrying a high-resolution digital camera in their hip pocket, your smile is working harder today than ever before.

We’ve also seen how misaligned teeth, gaps, and overlaps can cause a person to hide their smile. Even if they don’t do it on purpose, this avoidance can affect a person’s relationships with friends and family, co-workers, or even a stranger on the street.

We don’t want anyone In Ken Caryl to be embarrassed about their smile, and if one of the aspects you wish to correct is your teeth alignment, we are proud to offer the newest and most effective treatments. To fix problems on both arches simultaneously, we recommend a transparent aligner system (like Invisalign).

The Advantages of Clear Aligners

Clear aligners, also called invisible braces, are a treatment regime of transparent trays that straighten your teeth over time. The system eliminates brackets and wires, which are uncomfortable and unsightly. In addition, your clear aligners are so discreet that most people won’t realize that you’re wearing them.

Invisible braces also have numerous advantages over more traditional metal braces. Comfort and convenience are two primary advantages. For instance, you can take your aligners out so that you can eat without the encumbrance of an appliance in your mouth. This feature also prevents food from getting stuck in the tray and makes it easier to brush and floss.

Another reason Dr. Cara McCallum recommends clear aligners is because they unobtrusively blend with your natural teeth. Invisible braces live up to their name in a literal sense. This is why they are popular with teens and older adults who don’t want their mouths filled with metal.

Comfort, removability, and discretion are why clear aligners are the preferred method for correcting your smile’s alignment.

The Invisalign Treatment Process

The treatment process begins with an oral assessment where Dr. McCallum will examine your teeth to ensure the treatment matches your needs. Then, we will use a high-tech intraoral camera to scan your mouth and teeth in detail. This information allows us to determine your treatment’s time and the approximate cost.

general

A specialized lab will produce multiple aligners from our scans during your first visit, especially for your mouth. Because the treatment is progressive, you will start the first aligner in a series, wearing it each day while following these guidelines:

  • Keep your tray in your mouth 20-22 hours per day
  • Clean your aligner each day with warm water and, if necessary, a specialized cleaning solution
  • Move on to the next aligner after approximately fourteen days
  • Your aligner comes out for eating, drinking, brushing, and flossing
  • Maintain periodic check-ups to ensure the effectiveness of the treatment

As your aligners slowly reposition your teeth, you can watch the progress as it happens. In addition, we may augment your aligners with small restorations on teeth for certain conditions, which give a little extra help for the trays. So wear them faithfully and treat them as recommended and have a front-row seat to the emergence of your new smile.

Clear Aligners Could Work for You

Crooked and poorly spaced teeth don’t have to drive you to hide your smile. Instead, your teeth can look and function better with a complete invisible orthodontic treatment.

5 STAR EXPERIENCE!

“5 STAR EXPERIENCE! I don’t know about you but I dread going to the dentist. I had two teeth that needed fixing but I have been dragging myself because I can’t deal with waiting for crown for at least a week. So today I went to my appointment to this new dentist and IT FELT LIKE I AM AT THE SPA! They had a blanket to cover my feet, a warm wet towel for my chest, back message from the chair, and netflix. The people are super nice and friendly – it start from the moment you walk in to the moment you leave. I could stay there forever! They have super nice office you will really feel you are at the spa! I can’t wait be back to this SPA – yes it is a SPA to me for my next appointment for my crown. I did not have fear I usually get of seeing the dentist.” -Tisi
